a life | fully.rooted
Living an authentic life is not for the faint of heart. In today’s society, our time is pulled in competing directions, our energy is given out to many causes and our capacity is stretched to the max. It takes a deliberate moment of pause and determination to stop and make space for reflection and intentionality.
We all have great capacity, energy and time. And when directed to the things that we care about, that fill us up, that feed our soul and that provide us purpose, we find that instead of burn out, we can experience joy and wonder and fulfillment.
But how do you pause and stop? And how do you even re-discover intention and purpose? In small steps. Little micro moments of noticing. Gratefulness for the everyday activities. Those steps add up, create bigger steps to take and eventually allow you to step out of the swirling and set a different direction for your self and your life.
But is takes time. It takes effort. It is full of valleys and hills to climb. My journey has been anything but straight. It has been full of moments of despair, confusion, sadness, joy, peace and chaos. But in each of those moments where it felt that authenticity was just too difficult, I paused, noticed and chose to take one more small step.
As a life-long learner, every moment is an opportunity to discover. My work here is not to have all the answers, but to provide framework, process and context to ask more questions, get more curious and create the space for reflective thinking - for myself, my children, my clients.
